Impact on Water Quality

Desired Learning Outcomes:

will be able to identify different human activities that can pollute the water
resources in NY or anywhere around the world

Students
will learn about scientific equipment to test water quality (such as:
Laboratory Water Testing, Dipslide Incubators, Corrosion Monitoring, etc)

Students
will be able to describe how local communities are impacted by the water resources.
·
Student’s
will be able to consider different ways to better protect and conserve the freshwater
supplies
Acceptable Evidence:

Youtube.com
(videos that are about water quality and how it’s tested, and how water quality
impacts people)
·
Google.com
(articles)
Learning Activities:
·
Students
will be able to watch videos on the water quality and how its tested.
·
Students
will have an article and worksheet to complete
·
Students
will listen to the teachers lecture and then participate by answering questions
or having a class discussion on the subject
·
Student’s
will be asked to write an essay on water quality based on their research
through different resources.
·
Student’s
will be able to share their essay with peers and teacher
The
essay must contain graphics that students get from the internet, and evidence
must be from videos, and online articles. Students need to write all of their
resources and include websites, and articles.
