VOKI

Features of Technology	Voki
VOKI AVATAR Host	This avatar narrates the instructions on how to use VOKI and it’s features. (it’s a personal teaching assistant)
VOKI Search Tools	This allows for teachers and students to look up information they may need to help them with VOKI.
AVATAR	Teachers and students can upload a character that can look like them, or a cartoon character. There are many options in creating an avatar.
VOKI Classroom Setting	It allows for the teacher to set up a classroom account for students and teachers to share.
VOKI Presenter	Teachers and students can create an account where students can use their avatar and create presentations. Students can edit and also share their presentation with their peers.
VOKI Presenter Editor	This allows for teachers and students to add new slides, there’s a toolbar that they can use to help them with their presentation, and they can save their presentation.
Recorder and Audio	This allows for teachers and students to be able to record their voices or use other voices that VOKI provides, and they can have the avatars talking, and teachers and students will be able to listen to the avatars and presentations.

·        Voki is a fun and creative way for student’s to interact with teacher’s and peers by creating fun and interactive avatars.

Screencast O-Matic

Features of Technology	Affordance
It’s an audio and video software	Teachers and students can use this software to create video or audio recordings.
A tool for recording screenshots	Teachers and students can upload screenshots and demonstrate it to the class with voice-overs.
Video Tutorials	This is an instructional video that teaches how to use this software, and it discusses the different recorders.
Different types of recorders Recorder or Pro Recorder	There are different types of recorders one is much more simple and the other one is Pro which offers more features; but it isn’t free.
Editing Tools	These are tools that can be used to edit the voice-over, screenshots, or any uploads.
Publish and Save	Teachers, and Students can upload their videos on: Google Drive, Vimeo, Dropbox. Students can also save their work to their files.
Screenshot Tool	Teachers and students can use this tool to edit their work or add things to their screenshot.

·        Screencast O-Matic is a tool that I am still learning myself. This software is an amazing tool to upload power point presentations, or any other presentations, and the voice over allows for the teacher and student to present their project. I find that Screencast O-Matic is good for older grades.

BLOG

Features of Technology	Affordance
Customize Design	Teachers and Students can get creative and they can design it anyway they want.
Publishing	Teachers and students can publish their word, pictures, videos, and any presentation.
Editor	Before posting students can check their work with spell check, upload pictures of videos, even links. Teachers and students can even save their work before posting.
Preview	Teachers and students can preview their work before posting.
Feedback	Teachers and students can leave comments, and feedback on their peers post.
Class List (Group Blogging)	A class list can be created so that only members of the list can view the blog and make everything else private.
Creating an URL	Teachers and students can create their own URL blog.spot, and share it with their peers.

·        Blogger is a fun and interactive way for students and teachers to interact with each other. Students can post their work and get feedback and comments from their peers and teachers. Students can create their own page and design it and get as creative as they want. I think this is a fun way for students to interact with each other.
